Dr. Cooper, who is currently a professor of Women’s and Gender Studies at Rutgers University, is the author of our March General Track Read, Eloquent Rage. It was a great read for our community as Dr. Cooper speaks to the lived experience of a diverse range of Black women and shares her own journey coming into an understanding of Black Feminist Theory.
Dr. Cooper, very graciously, gave us her time to sit down with the SBG Book Club and answer questions from our community. It was thoughtful, intelligent, and insightful conversation, ending with a nice touch of shade at “Karen don’t want no smoke.”
Thank you to Dr. Cooper and to her commitment to Black women.
Grab the syllabus for Eloquent Rage and join the discussion! All our readings are evergreen. Chime in and engage any time.
